Cape Town can have all four seasons in a day and being a peninsula one side is always off-shore and should have better visibility than the other. However, there are many other factors that conspire to create our diving conditions – swell direction and height, upwellings and plankton blooms to name a few. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, it surprises you! We are happily positioned close enough to the sea to let you know what False Bay is looking like and I always get to see the Atlantic in the mornings because I live on that side, so a call to the shop at 0830 will give you my best guess of where to go for the day.
